VinBrain - One more step further to increase the practical accuracy in interpretation of medical images

Mr. Steven Truong was a speaker at Edge AI and Vision Alliance Innovation Forum 2022.

Together with the CEO, CTO of giant guys such as Intel, NVIDIA, on 10th March, Mr. Steven Truong shared the technology trend in the AI/computing industry at “Edge AI and Vision Alliance Innovation Forum” hosted by Edge AI and Vision, Silicon Valley, CA USA.

Medical diagnosis and treatment increasingly rely on medical imaging, including images generated via X-ray, ultrasound, CT scan, and MRI. Rapidly and accurately interpreting these images is a challenge – one that computer vision is increasingly being tapped to address.

VinBrain is applying visual AI to improve the accuracy of interpretation of medical images. But VinBrain is going a step further – combining visual AI with natural language processing so that algorithms can take into account textual information such as patient demographics, physicians’ notes, and patients’ reports of symptoms to reach more accurate diagnoses.

In this talk, Mr. Steven Truong introduced VinBrain’s DrAid system and explained how it utilizes state-of-the-art deep learning techniques to extract insights from image and text data.
